The Mips Safety System is technologically based on a low-friction layer positioned between the head and the helmet. In the event of certain angled impacts, the Mips Safety System allows a multidirectional movement of 10-15 mm thus decreasing the rotational forces transmitted to the head. Very advanced computer simulations of the brain were conducted at Mips headquarters, which demonstrated that the Mips safety system reduces the level of stress on the brain for the various angled impacts tested. Robust shell obtained from a mixture of ABS and polycarbonate. Polyamide headband adjustable in height, both frontally and posteriorly. Size adjustment via the convenient wheel. Chin straps, possibly removable for operations on land, equipped with a buckle specifically developed to perform the safety release function between 15 and 25 kg. Provision for fixing headphones, protective visor and headlamp.
